1. What is PDF file upload?

PDF file upload is another upload option that you can use within Smartmockups mockup generator for uploading your design assets. What it does is that it enables you to upload your previously saved graphics in .PDF file format, choose which page of your PDF will to upload and then to create & download your final mockup scene. All of this is done within a few seconds as it is this easy!

STEP 1: Choose your mockup

If you are a regular reader of our blog posts or a regular user of Smartmockups, then you will know what needs to be done at the very beginning. For those of you who have no idea, the first step you need to take is to choose your mockup. Browse our categories to choose the perfect one for you. I'll be creating a 3D magazine mockup.

STEP 2: Upload PDF file

Via "Upload image from" button, click-thru "upload image" to upload your design asset in a PDF file format. Thanks to our tool, you can choose which page of your PDF file should be uploaded. Right after choosing your page, move onto the cropping tool to align, rotate or flip the design asset. Finally, click the "Crop and continue" button to move further.

STEP 3: Customize & download your mockup

Depending on what mockup scene you started with, you can change the colour of the item or the colour of the background. Once you are happy with the final result, hit "download" button and choose from four different resolutions. Just keep in mind that the higher resolution you choose, the better quality of the image you will get.
